Dubai, October 12 2008:
Injecting some excitement into the region's advertising and marketing
industry, G2 Publishing & Media has launched AdNation Middle East
(adnationme.com), the first news and community website for creative and
media professionals in the Middle East.
AdNation Middle East offers a mix of up-to-the-minute news, insight-filled commentary, an image gallery of the best (and worst) advertising work from the region and around the world, and hot, hot gossip. In addition, AdNation allows its citizens to post work to the gallery, submit their own story ideas, publicise an event and even tip us off on the latest gossip. The site's editorial mission is to provide a frank and critical view of the region's advertising and marketing industry, and an honest discussion about the quality of work, in an effort to raise creative standards in the region. "AdNation is a new concept for the region," says Eliot Beer, the site's editor. "With help from our reader-citizens, we intend to call companies out on mediocre ads and ask what some of that corporate-speak put out in press releases actually means." AdNation Middle East is an open portal, with certain features that are exclusive to citizens by invitation only, and targets people working in advertising, marketing, media and communications industries. AdNation already boasts some of the biggest names in the Middle East's advertising sector as citizens - with more joining every day. AdNation Middle East is live now at www.adnationme.com and will be updated daily. Reader endorsements: "Frankly unworthy of comment." - Alistair Crighton, Group Editor, Motivate Publishing "... you quoted the most inflammatory bit." - Ed Jones, Creative Director, Saatchi & Saatchi Dubai "Who are these guys?" - almost everyone
